Self-explanatory, "Insomnia" is about sleep (or lack there-of) and how we need it to stay sane. I'm sure everyone has experienced insomnia at some point in their lives and the anxiety, racing-thoughts, and odd sense of reality that it can create.

I love how overlapping colors and textures can create images without actually rendering anything representational. :D

Each piece in this series is approximately 18x18" and 4" in depth.

This piece is especially relatable considering that I am writing a critique for it at 3:00 in the morning.
Well, not anymore. I decided to go to sleep and finish this in the morning. So, good morning.

I really love the abstract colours and textures, and how they relate to each other. The layers of paint are very dynamic to this style.
In my opinion, the red area is the focal point, because it is really enhanced by the background contrast of blue and green. The varying amounts of opacity are really cool, especially in the overlaps. Another really attractive spot is the white in the bottom right. I really like the glow there.
The textures are really interesting. One of my favourites is the 'drip marks' (I really don't know what to call them). They seem to give this piece a sense of motion and, well, they're a good touch. I also like the spatters, of course.

I think you should consider framing all of the pieces in this series, because it might help give a sense of control to the abstract. Then again, you might want to keep the unrestrained style. I actually think you could do some really cool things with a border, painting on it or something like that.
I can kind of see the insomnia theme, but I'm not exactly sure what the connection is. I can't give you any ideas, 'cause I've haven't done much abstract art, but I think you should work towards conveying the theme in a stronger manner.

I took a look at the other pieces of art in the series, and they're pretty awesome, and I'm impressed with how you've created something new using the same style. Looks great!
