Kitties, comic books, and animation! Oh my!

It's been a while! How is everyone? :)
I'm Currently working on a children's book for a nice lady. Doing the illustrations and such.
There have been a lot of interesting things happen since I posted last, but I'll limit it to the most important.

First and formost, my kitty, Milo, has been diagnosed with "Legg-Calve Perthes Disease" in his left hip joint. It is necrotic bone degenration.

The only way to prevent further damage and pain is for them to perform surgery. A "femoral head and neck ostectomy (FHO)" will be done. AKA removal of the femoral head and neck. However, apparently cats' muscle tissue will grow a "false joint", so he will be playing and walking normally in about a month. Maybe less, maybe more. I'm still super nervous about the surgery.. My poor sweetie. Please send him your love! :(

The next important issue is that an old friend of mine, Rachel Deering, has made an epically awesome comic series. It's a nice classic horror-story,  with a fresh twist on traditional supernatural creatures. She enlisted some mad-skilled artists to work on it too! However, in order for it to be published she has to raise the funds for all 6 issues. Cutting to the chase, she started a Kickstarter to do just that. She's only about $600 short from her goal! But she only has 4 days left to raise the rest and if she doesn't raise enough in the remaining time...she will not recieve a penny of it and Anathema will go unpublished!

*LE SIGH* Well, peeps, looks like my PC is finally dying... It's only 6 years old........^^;
It sounds like either a dirt bike or like it's crying. :O (My fella says the fan to the video card is dying..)
We might be able to fix it.. Hell, who am I kidding? I know next to nothing concerning computer hardware.
It's a very old computer though; So I think we're just going to purchase a new comp, rather than trying to
sink money into something that's old and doesn't run very well. I was hoping to be able to work in Photoshop and such,
soon, on this comp...but I don't know when it's going to finally bite the dust, and it's running even slower than
it usually does now. :( Hopefully it'll hold out until we can get the new comp! (SIGH)

WAITAMINUTE! Did I not tell you about my current fella?? :O_o:
I'm dating a dude that I've been friends with for over 4 years. THIS DUDE OVER HYAR! LOOKIT!>>:iconsnemmy: :iconmonkeyloveplz:
He's been awesome to me for a very long time...and was majorly there for me through my breakup. >12 Years...

My slow, but inevitable, return.

HI THAR!! :wave:  My goodness, has it really been 3 months?? :O_o:

As shown in my last journal, this year has not been kind to me. It's been pretty rough.

...Just recently had to have a kitten put to sleep, as well. He was a stray that I was trying to nurse back to health.
(I named him Artemis) I took him to the vet and everything and he was doing SO MUCH BETTER within just a few days.
Then I took him to the vet again and had a blood test performed. It came back positive for full-blown FIV (kitty aids).
Which meant that he had absolutely no immune system. So essentially after the antibiotics wore off he would just keep contracting illnesses and/or diseases. He would have always been sick and suffering, and eventually would have died a horrible death from it.
It was one of the hardest fucking things I've ever had to do in my life. Even though I only knew him for a few days, and I knew we
couldn't keep him, I considered him a part of our family and loved him immensely. I miss him so much.

Moral of the story? GET YOUR ANIMALS TESTED AND VACCINATED! :iconcatplz:


Besides all of the insanity and emotional strain, I shall be returning slowly to DA in the next few weeks or so.
I'm going to be cleaning out my horribly cluttered and outdated gallery, and adding some newer stuffs. :)
I'll still have a lot of my older pieces, but I feel so unsatisfied with much of my art on here now that my skills have leveled up a bit.
